ive spent more time looking into some of these address and numbers in my local city. what i found is that many of these places point to someone with a name of Joseph working there. for example one location is a car insurance place with a man name Joseph as the lead agent, another is a dentist with a dr name Jospeh, another is a location with law office with an attorney named Joseph. so...idk...i dont want to sound like a shill, but maybe this is just a database issue...
You are totally right on this one, all the properties I can find have a Joseph working there. Perhaps yes a DB issue but some of them I had to find on private DB's that were not internet facing .... one hell of a DB fuckup if this is the case so strange, this one has bugged me for months now.
A lot of the locations in Pittsburgh and the surrounding area are different kinds of medical offices like dentists and chiropractors. Some of the houses appear suspicious due to being situated near schools.
We can't let this thread die it is one of the most interesting things and I want to know more. It's weird that this seems to be the only thread on the net about this subject and it is extremely mysterious and intriguing.
So I made 3 calls to the numbers in my city. One was St. Joseph's cemetery/HAITIAN outreach program. another was a dentist named joseph sudik, and the third call was answered by a man (priest) "St. Joseph's". I happen to know that St. Joseph's Church is at the address given . So --weird. Is it possible that this really is a 'bot' on steroids?
Going through some of these in towns near me. ETA: None of it is conclusive but there are some interesting trends at play.
Found one address I searched in a town an hour away from me has this place listed as the actual occupant on Google Maps, although their website does not list a facility that fits this location.
Here's an optometrist named Joseph. Supports the "bad algorithm" theory more than the pedo activity as far as I can tell, but still keeps the medical theme going so there's that I guess.
Then there's a house labeled Joseph Patrick Studio, which isn't all that strange except for a block away there's a place called Love at Work. In and of itself, this isn't all that strange but taken in context with the rest of this list it looks... off.
Another law firm, though only unusual in context with the other lawyers and doctors that are found on this list.
The next one didn't show anything on Google Maps, but a net search revealed yet another doctor's office, this time cosmetic and eye surgeons. The logo of this one is also interesting, though not necessarily indicative.
The pin on the first one gets dropped a couple blocks away from it's actual address. It's correct location is the grey pin, not at the entrance to an orchard. With that, it's a doctors' office situated across the street from a junior high, in a hospital park that also has a plastic surgeon and is a stone's throw from a dentist office.
The second one is practically on top of the first, so it shouldn't be surprising that it's a surgical suite.
Beginning to think there's more to this than just a fucky website aggregator that likes to gather Joseph's. Maybe just because I'm tired, but there's a whole lot of doctors and lawyers stacking up in this list.Will have to test some other names tomorrow.
Second is a hospital park with a dental chain and a pediatrics specialist on site, neither of which is unusual on their own, or even together. However, they both have logos that strike me as strange when looked at from a certain perspective. Completely circumstantial, but is still odd.

When I was looking up the attorney/bistro address, Hours Center popped up. Figured it was akin to a ghetto version of Yelp or something of that nature; here's a menu (of fancy sounding stuff if one doesn't understand Italian) and locations...From there it went from curiosity to WTF, because I looked up my home town and there were two "bistros" that never existed in a hick town of 8000 people.
If it's a crappy algorithm, then so be it. But it strikes me as odd that the attorney shared the same locale as a bistro as well as a supposed shared name. Shit like that does happen coincidentally, just never thought to see it on a big scale like that, ya know?

And here's another thing-- when using McDonald's as an experiment (there's a McD drive thru in my hometown and an unrelated McDonald's Electric that's been around forever), if it's pulling info from all listed with that common name in it, both locations should appear. But only the drive thru does... so I'm not sure if it's the algorithm, or if indeed it's something shadier; a network of what on paper looks like a bistro, but in actuality is a front for something else.

I looked up my state and supposedly there are like 1200 locations. But when I look it up on Google it doesn't seem to exist under that name. Just 3 results for similar names, Joe's Bistro. I've never heard of it before and I eat out all the time. For my entire life. You'd think if my state had 1200 locations I'd know. I feel sick thinking about what this is about.
I checked 8 of these listings in my state and 5 were linked because the owners are named Joseph. One is a full service media production company (child porn on the side?) and 2 are dentists (one is cosmetic). I wonder if this is a way of coding nefarious services.
All I can say after reading the different locations that this is HIGHLY SUSPECT. I already got that from reading the article. Searching Hunstville Alabama is unbelievable. So many locations and weird addresses and the menu for the Bistro is always the same but does not line up with what is listed for the address. I am so confused as to what this is. But I wonder if these ARE fake addresses for people that are here from foreign countries to facilitate their organ transplanting. IDK could all of these be connected in someway to a card system? Anyway, the poster must have then searched the address again with Joseph's Bistro and came up with the hourscenter.com website. I'm not saying that it's not a bad algorithm. I do find it interesting that almost all of the addresses (a dozen and a half or so) that I followed for "Joseph's" that were listed in my area drop pins on/next to some sort of medical park or dental office. The couple that didn't conform dropped pins on houses, which seems to support the fucky algorithm theory. A Joseph's located in a building that is strictly residential, and in an apartment located in the upper part of the building where it would be illogical (and illegal) to have a restaurant. So I googled the phone number associated with my address, and sure enough it was listed to a lawyer. It would be highly unlikely (tho not impossible) to run a commercial attorney's business from a random apt in this bldg. But the lawyer's first name is in fact Joseph, and after googling a few more of the phone numbers, they all have a connection to the name Joseph. My particular Joe seems to have passed "peacefully at home" last year and has/had a very minimal presence online - the only reference I could find was when he was re-appointed to a panel of lawyers that represent indigent defendants in criminal court.
Guess I'll have to find somewhere else to spend $15 on Papparelle Con Funghi Selvaticci and $4.50 for a bottle of Orangina.

Every single one I checked was a doctors office. I had my kids at two hospitals listed on this site never saw this bistro. It's also linked to my old psychiatrists office. Again no restaurant. I know for a fact there is a child psychologist in my shrinks old office.
So far, all of the ones I've seen in Ohio redirect to one website, a chiropractic website called www.fiorechiro.com. The location on their website is Pasadena, Maryland. Every street listed for Ohio places is the location of a medical facility. The addresses and phone numbers seem to match up. While looking I found www.hoursguru.com and www.hourspage.com, both referencing the Joseph's locations.
When I looked at very small towns, one of the listings went to a library, one to a catholic church, and one to some guys diary farm. Dont know if any of this helps
Soooo weird. I looked into the functionality of HoursCenter.com and it seems to be a big error on their back-end. It's auto populating any business in the country with any name... any business that is semi-generic sounding, and has a first name in the URL string (/josephs for instance) is seemingly pulling in ANY business/name listed with that name attached.
Because these subfolders are very generic, and this terrible website auto-generates some of its listings (business owners have to claim them manually once identified) - any generic name that is also a business, or someone's name who owns/is listed for that business including residential properties, is getting pulled into their database.
I'm confident we could find even more examples based on the URL structure.
However, a large portion of the other materials from the Steemit link are NOT simple database errors.
When I used their search function for Josephs, it pulled any and all-- but those Joseph's, such as "Joseph's Classic Market" have their own little logo, making it differentiated from the "Joseph's Bistro" list.
The example URL provided makes sense, as any legitimate businesses with a unique logo would supersede the generic "Joseph's" as a separate business listing.
Well, many restaurants have large trucks/vans stop by on a regular basis as vendors deliver supplies. It wouldn't be hard to move small people via box, smuggling them to a holding area to be picked up by the end consumer.
I live in CT. Lots of Locations but not my in my town. EDIT: I guess I should elaborate. It looks like 3 of the locations listed as "Joseph's" in my town are attorneys. As for the other three... one phone number leads to St. Joseph's grade school and the last two numbers are connected to St. Joseph's parish.
All of these appear to be PO Boxes, law offices, hospitals, and healthcare related companies. The attorneys appear to many times do immigration law as well. What the fuck.

I followed two of them and checked the Secretary of state business filling. Both were immigration lawyers in the same building. Now lawyers do file business applications for you, but neither of the filings had a reason for incorporation which was strange.
Something else that should be pointed out. None of the businesses I checked are registered with the sec in Edgar. This would mean that they would have a very difficult time getting a bank account because most require an ein for a business account. They could still operate on cash, or be linked to a shady bank (not sure if they could use an offshore account). In any event anything they're doing would be off the books and tax data would be impossible to find.
Before we let our imaginations run too far with this... You don't need to register with the sec to get an ein number, you register with the irs. EIN is an (e)mployer (i)dintification (n)umber, which is used by the irs to identify businesses. Registration with the sec generally occurs when a business makes a securities offering to the public and is not necessary to open a bank account

One was St. Joseph's cemetery/HAITIAN outreach program. another was a dentist named joseph sudik, and the third call was answered by a man (priest) "St. Joseph's". Found one address I searched in a town an hour away from me has this place listed as the actual occupant on Google Maps, although their website does not list a facility that fits this location.
This one is in a house directly across from an elementary school.
I used to live down the road from this one. It is a hospital.

This one is in a partially vacant building across the street from a foster care advocate that has a highly suspect logo. This document also turned up in a net search. The law firm has since moved from that address, but still strange.

There's a bunch in Provo and a few of them are weird. Being heavily Mormon as it is, the name Joseph is pretty common over there.
First up is another hospital.
Then there's a house labeled Joseph Patrick Studio, which isn't all that strange except for a block away there's a place called Love at Work. In and of itself, this isn't all that strange but taken in context with the rest of this list it looks... off.
The third seems pretty benign with some real estate related stuff.
Another law firm, though only unusual in context with the other lawyers and doctors that are found on this list.
The next one didn't show anything on Google Maps, but a net search revealed yet another doctor's office, this time cosmetic and eye surgeons. The logo of this one is also interesting, though not necessarily indicative.
The next is another doctor named Jospeh, though he appears to be retired as he's 82 according to this site.
The last one is, unsurprisingly at this point, another hospital.

Orem, UT. Trend continues.
The pin on the first one gets dropped a couple blocks away from it's actual address. It's correct location is the grey pin, not at the entrance to an orchard. With that, it's a doctors' office situated across the street from a junior high, in a hospital park that also has a plastic surgeon and is a stone's throw from a dentist office.
The second one is practically on top of the first, so it shouldn't be surprising that it's a surgical suite.
Beginning to think there's more to this than just a fucky website aggregator that likes to gather Joseph's. Maybe just because I'm tired, but there's a whole lot of doctors and lawyers stacking up in this list.Will have to test some other names tomorrow.

When I was looking up the attorney/bistro address, Hours Center popped up. Figured it was akin to a ghetto version of Yelp or something of that nature; here's a menu (of fancy sounding stuff if one doesn't understand Italian) and locations...From there it went from curiosity to WTF, because I looked up my home town and there were two "bistros" that never existed in a hick town of 8000 people.
If it's a crappy algorithm, then so be it. But it strikes me as odd that the attorney shared the same locale as a bistro as well as a supposed shared name. Shit like that does happen coincidentally, just never thought to see it on a big scale like that, ya know?
I'm open to the idea that it's a misunderstanding/shitty algorithm. But I'm also open to the idea that it's not. Guess that makes me agnostic of sorts.
Per the About Us section of Hours Center, https://www.hourscenter.com/about/about-us/ they seem to differentiate between a brand and it's purpose; i.e. everything listed as Joseph's, actually being Joseph's.
And here's another thing-- when using McDonald's as an experiment (there's a McD drive thru in my hometown and an unrelated McDonald's Electric that's been around forever), if it's pulling info from all listed with that common name in it, both locations should appear. But only the drive thru does... so I'm not sure if it's the algorithm, or if indeed it's something shadier; a network of what on paper looks like a bistro, but in actuality is a front for something else.

George Webb's just been talking about 1050 Connecticut Ave. Here it is listed as a Joseph's. Check out the sign outside for the Golden Trianglean area between the White House and Dupont Circle. Next door is Victoria's Secrets. This address is tied to the Clinton Global Initiative and some guy called Dennis Catsiv who has a massive lawsuit against him.

All I can say after reading the different locations that this is HIGHLY SUSPECT. I already got that from reading the article. Searching Hunstville Alabama is unbelievable. So many locations and weird addresses and the menu for the Bistro is always the same but does not line up with what is listed for the address. I am so confused as to what this is. But I wonder if these ARE fake addresses for people that are here from foreign countries to facilitate their organ transplanting. IDK could all of these be connected in someway to a card system? Do all of these people that live at one of these addresses have a card even if they are here illegally but are registered under one of these addresses. Does anyone know what I mean? A couple of points need to be made here.
Common Cause employs a company called Corporate Creation Network, Inc. to serve as its registered agent as shown in the link. They do this for many different companies, apparently including O.P.E.N. America. Their address as registered agent is in Iowa. http://www.corporatecreations.com/clients/ What registered agents do is receive legal paperwork for a company.
The building at 4742 N 24th St in Phoenix that houses OpenWorks/O.P.E.N. America is called Camelback Commons and is run by Premier Business Centers, offering shared office space. https://www.pbcenters.com/Regions/Arizona/CAMELBACK-COMMONS-office-space-PHO.aspx They rent full-time offices, day offices, virtual offices, meeting rooms, etc.
The missing link for me is where Joseph's Bistro came into the picture for the poster. I don't find it listed anywhere as being associated with that building.
Anyway, the poster must have then searched the address again with Joseph's Bistro and came up with the hourscenter.com website. The Joseph's Bistro logo belongs to a restaurant in Massachussetts. http://thepulsemag.com/wordpress/2007/10/1007-review-joseph%e2%80%99s-bistro-restaurant-sports-bar Hourscenter.com shows the bistro's logo while listing places that start with Joseph, even though they have nothing to do with the bistro. You can test this by replacing josephs with jims in the address bar. A logo for a company called Jim's will come up and you will see many listings for things that start with Jim.

I'm not saying that it's not a bad algorithm. I do find it interesting that almost all of the addresses (a dozen and a half or so) that I followed for "Joseph's" that were listed in my area drop pins on/next to some sort of medical park or dental office. The couple that didn't conform dropped pins on houses, which seems to support the fucky algorithm theory. I'm not saying there is any relevance to pizzagate or anything like that, just that it's a strange coincidence that may be associated only with my area. Might be worth some digging, might not be.

Agreed. Odder still is that one address I searched in a town an hour away from me has this place listed as the actual occupant on Google Maps, although their website does not list a facility that fits this location.

Maybe the Hours Center list is incorrectly putting extra listings in as Joseph's Bistros? But the underlying premise that there are lots of sketchy Joseph's Bistros sharing office space with lawyers, construction firms, and other circumstantially-suspicious organizations still seems valid. I think people might want to search for Joseph's Bistro using a different search like bizapedia or similar.

Heh. The Delano Hotel is one of the super-swanky Art Deco hotels in South Beach. I've been there (never as a guest) a couple-three times, and the first time I entered the hotel though the main portico with its 50-foot tall billowing white curtains, I said to my self that it felt like I was walking into a Laura Branigan video.

So this is fucked. I looked up my local Josephs and holy balls they have 2 locations listed in my town. Here's where it gets freaky. with street view the first location was some closed down suite of the local mall, but the second location was the address of the fucking stone cutter at the local jewish cemetery.

Wow, there is a Joseph's right in my own apartment building!!!
A Joseph's located in a building that is strictly residential, and in an apartment located in the upper part of the building where it would be illogical (and illegal) to have a restaurant. So I googled the phone number associated with my address, and sure enough it was listed to a lawyer. It would be highly unlikely (tho not impossible) to run a commercial attorney's business from a random apt in this bldg. But the lawyer's first name is in fact Joseph, and after googling a few more of the phone numbers, they all have a connection to the name Joseph. My particular Joe seems to have passed "peacefully at home" last year and has/had a very minimal presence online - the only reference I could find was when he was re-appointed to a panel of lawyers that represent indigent defendants in criminal court.
Guess I'll have to find somewhere else to spend $15 on Papparelle Con Funghi Selvaticci and $4.50 for a bottle of Orangina.

Every single one I checked was a doctors office. I had my kids at two hospitals listed on this site never saw this bistro. It's also linked to my old psychiatrists office. Again no restaurant. I know for a fact there is a child psychologist in my shrinks old office.

So far, all of the ones I've seen in Ohio redirect to one website, a chiropractic website called www.fiorechiro.com. The location on their website is Pasadena, Maryland. Every street listed for Ohio places is the location of a medical facility. The addresses and phone numbers seem to match up. While looking I found www.hoursguru.com and www.hourspage.com, both referencing the Joseph's locations.
When I looked at very small towns, one of the listings went to a library, one to a catholic church, and one to some guys diary farm. Dont know if any of this helps

Soooo weird. I looked into the functionality of HoursCenter.com and it seems to be a big error on their back-end. It's auto populating any business in the country with any name... any business that is semi-generic sounding, and has a first name in the URL string (/josephs for instance) is seemingly pulling in ANY business/name listed with that name attached.
For example:

Because these subfolders are very generic, and this terrible website auto-generates some of its listings (business owners have to claim them manually once identified) - any generic name that is also a business, or someone's name who owns/is listed for that business including residential properties, is getting pulled into their database.
I'm confident we could find even more examples based on the URL structure.
However, a large portion of the other materials from the Steemit link are NOT simple database errors.

When I used their search function for Josephs, it pulled any and all-- but those Joseph's, such as "Joseph's Classic Market" have their own little logo, making it differentiated from the "Joseph's Bistro" list.

Well, many restaurants have large trucks/vans stop by on a regular basis as vendors deliver supplies. It wouldn't be hard to move small people via box, smuggling them to a holding area to be picked up by the end consumer.

I live in CT. Lots of Locations but not my in my town. It does give 2 locations in a nearby town , at a very residential only area. the website connected to it links to a chiropractor who has office hours Mon- thurs 10-12 in the am and again from 3-6. I live in a town in Wisconsin mentioned quite frequently on here. Apparently we have six of them.
EDIT: I guess I should elaborate. It looks like 3 of the locations listed as "Joseph's" in my town are attorneys. As for the other three... one phone number leads to St. Joseph's grade school and the last two numbers are connected to St. Joseph's parish.

This is bizarre. There are two in a town near me with no more than 5,000 people. One is St Josephs Catholic Church. Another one in a town I used to live in, a little bigger, has one way out in the country. I called that number and an older woman on a recording said "thank you for calling Josephs Food Ministry." what hours they were open and that you had to be there by a certain time to get processed before closing. wtf?

big upvoat. this is one of the oddest things i've seen recently.
one of the locations matches to a pediatrician whose office is right next to my parents' house of 34 years. I know for a fact there's never been a 'bistro' in that building...hell, there's never even been a restaurant there.

Any business that has Joseph in the name is being propagated into this dead restaurant's feed. it is totally bogus.

I followed two of them and checked the Secretary of state business filling. Both were immigration lawyers in the same building. Now lawyers do file business applications for you, but neither of the filings had a reason for incorporation which was strange.

Something else that should be pointed out. None of the businesses I checked are registered with the sec in Edgar. This would mean that they would have a very difficult time getting a bank account because most require an ein for a business account. They could still operate on cash, or be linked to a shady bank (not sure if they could use an offshore account). In any event anything they're doing would be off the books and tax data would be impossible to find.

Before we let our imaginations run too far with this... You don't need to register with the sec to get an ein number, you register with the irs. EIN is an (e)mployer (i)dintification (n)umber, which is used by the irs to identify businesses. Registration with the sec generally occurs when a business makes a securities offering to the public and is not necessary to open a bank account
