Been doing a bit of research on the Disney and Nick channels. Disney has a Descendants movie franchise with the premise that all of the Disney villains had kids and they were imprisoned on an island. The Beast married Belle and lives on the mainland. Their son, the prince, falls in love with Malificent's daughter, Mal. Mal wants to give the imprisoned kids a chance on the mainland. The third movie is the shocker......it is revealed that Satan is Mal's father. He turns out to be a not so bad guy and actually resurrects a girl who was dying/dead.
Talk about a reversal....making Satan a good guy? I was astounded. The movies are big productions and truthfully, the music and dance numbers are polished and actually good....and that is what makes these movies so sinister. Evil is good, in a nice, entertaining package. Cruella De Ville's son was played by Cameron Boyce...who committed suicide at the age of 20. Makes you wonder.........
