I have always wondered how those buildings collapsed straight down. All the foundation columns would have had to fail at the exact same time or they would have tipped over rather than fall straight. And that is a complete impossibility with damage only to the upper floors. And even if it did happen what are the chances it would happen twice in one day?

The range of theories about this is interesting. But clearly, a loaded huge airplane traveling at that speed has enough inertia to go right though steel support columns. Whether that kind of damage would be enough to allow collapse after weakening the supports around the damage area is another question, but it's not implausible. There was a fair amount of weight above the damage, and once a section starts dropping, that weight quickly becomes a problem.
That's false. Each floor would have offered more resistance to the initial collapse which occured above floor 90. If you fall through a floor, would each floor you hit slow you down or increase your speed?
And a plane has nowhere near enough force to compromise the structure

I'm not an engineer, but can see the possibility of that happening. If some of the damage caused the weight of the upper floors to drop, it could easily go all the way down. But yeah, that's the question. As for building 7, do a video search for the damaged side of building 7
Thank you. I don't recall seeing the damage to the south side. Now I have. Didn't realize that nearly the entire south side had been damaged so badly. Was it enough to make the building collapse? I don't know.
I don't get how the two issues are diametrically opposed, other than to disrupt and obfuscate the "truth".
