Hi goats.

I've had to add a few rules as a result of something that happened a couple of weeks ago. Namely someone posted (adult) porn to the movie night playlist and a (now former) member of the channel began accusing several people of being pedophiles on the basis that they're members of SBBH.

I thought it went without saying that these kinds of behaviour aren't welcome here, but apparently not, so we have some new rules to deal with the issue:

Don't post porn on movie night. Last time I deleted the video before checking who did it. If it happens again they'll be banned. If it happens repeatedly I'll have to close the playlist and personally filter submissions.
Don't stir up irrelevant drama on movie night. If you don't get on with someone that's fine, but this isn't the place for it. Same goes for this sub, it's not the place to be accusing people of whatever's bothering you. Especially not without proof.

As much as I love this group and it’s new tradition, I can’t play the videos anymore. I have tried numerous browsers and just end up giving up.

Can we move back to the format we used on the first few videos? Das boot was the last film I was able to play without any issues.

Damn, that's bad. I've no idea why it's so variable. I think Das Boot was the same upload method: Raw .mp4 video from bitchute. The only other reliable method I've found is streaming from google drive, but people have to install the userscript for that which made everyone nervous.

There is one last option I have which is to try dailymotion. It's a pain in the ass because I have to split the movies into ~20 minute segments to disguise them from copy protection, but it should work. I can try that next week if you like.

Also, something which does work but is a little finnicky: If you open the raw .mp4 from bitchute in another window it should run ok in most browsers. You have to manually sync it up, but we can tell you the timestamp. Then you can chat with us in the other window, just tile them beside each other.

and then around this time, the SBBH gang tried bothering me despite me raising the red flag on the jailbait. in the movie night chat, they tried to start shit with me.

AND THEN right in the middle of movie night, suddenly porn

in the days after this happened, there was then not 1, but 2 incidents of underage porn being thrown at me via ping spam from several known pedophiles who blatantly wish to fuck 12 year olds.

Ok, your reaction makes a little more sense now. All the same I'd prefer if this kind of thing were kept to other subs.

I'll be keeping a closer eye on the movies playlist from now on and I'll close it if I really have to, but as far as I can see this was a one off thing and isn't likely to be repeated.

I wasn't there last week (working on college stuff) but Worf put up some classic horror. The hills have eyes and suspiria.

On thursday we watched Boondocks, some Murdoch Murdoch and Space: Above and Beyond.

Nope, if you find something cool you can paste links on the right just underneath the video player.

It only accepts a few sites though:

Youtube
Vimeo
Google drive (everyone would need to install a userscript to see it, we don't do that anymore)
Dailymotion

If you have a raw video URL you can also paste that.

That'd be hilarious. I did think about making a mockup of the MGM logo with a goat instead of the lion, but I was too lazy :P

Thing is, youtube is even more strict on hate speech than copyright stuff, so my account would get killed the moment it got reported.

Cytube has built-in support for only a few video sites. With any other sites you need to get raw video files or embeds for it to work. That's why we use bitchute currently: Not many sites allow raw access like that.

There is one last option I haven't used much which is dailymotion. They do have youtube style copy protection, but they're not as fanatical about it and I can bypass it by splitting videos into parts. It's just a bit more of a pain compared to youtube.

I think they are what is called "gama males". They lack the ability to be real men and thrive off of "drama"...thus you get the faggotry of calling each other out in posts and being on "teams" and the other gay shit. Problem is the same as it is in real life...they exist...which is annoying and therefor they should be eliminated. It just ruins a space for us.

We use a site called cytube, it lets you watch a movie stream in sync with a bunch of other people and chat about it in the sidebar. We usually watch a mix of really good movies and really bad movies and meme about them as we go.

I'm glad someone noticed. I always click on the raw videos to see what they were, took me like 10-15 mins of telling people in chat before people realized it was in the play list and it was already starting to play.

Yeah, sorry about that, I honestly didn't think anyone would post porn like that so when I saw you talking about it I assumed you were taking the piss. Even when it started playing I assumed it was a comedy sketch or something. Once I realised there wasn't going to be a punchline I deleted it.

Thanks for your vigilence, in future I'll play closer attention. If it becomes a serious problem I have the option to close the playlist and if anyone wants to post something they can send me the link in chat.
