So does Voat have a go to attack strategy for stopping unnecessary deleting comments or only for unnecessary banning?

When it gets bad enough the site unites to downvoat the asshole into oblivion. That doesn't stop them from posting, but does stop them from voating.

The creators of private subs have the right to do what they want... but if they piss of the subscribers the sub dies.

If enough noise is made about a bad mod, the site owner gets involved. This has happened four times that I am aware of. Two were removed from a public (admin owned) sub, one was someone that took over a popular private sub and pissed off the user base.

The owner likes to use a public forum to discuss these things when action is needed to be taken. We had one not that long ago when someone hijacked v/niggers. https://voat.co/v/announcements/1551024

This is so great, thanks for explaining. So cool to see site wide love for free speech like that.

Also I'm so intrigued w PV now, but I'm sure time will give me examples of what they do.

PV is kind of the unofficial,,,community police. Questionable actions by users/ mods/subs get reported there. After that, things get spicey. Sometimes nothing happens. Sometimes users get irrate and fuck shit up on their own. If things get big enough an admin might step in and resolve.

It's controversial. Certain users dislike PV and call it a brigade anti free speech sub. Those users generally have an axe in need of grinding. But that's an opinion, and you should form your own about what PV does.
