Deleting posts is the number one mod crime and it should be restrained. They can design whatever they want but culling the topics allowed for discussion has little benefit. Let the people speak.
A mod can just as easily post their dissatisfaction in a topic - i would even consider letting mods "PIN" a comment within such topics explaining their disagreement.

I understand that mods should have extensive control of their subs, but censorship is what ruined reddit and it has to stop, now.
