There's a documentary that had a bit where one of the Central/South African's they followed on his conquest of Europe talked about the risks they're facing. He had heard about some of the people posing as navy captains for the invasion really being scammers and just taking them and selling them into slavery. Interesting to think about the "We came, we saw, he died! 😈" tie in. Wish I knew where the link was...
