Do one better. Boil water. Easier than distilling. No minerals are lost. And once boiling all of the gasses dissolved (like flouride and chlorine) are gone. Freezing works too so ice is also safe to use.

Boiling water does not remove fluoride, it concentrates it.
I guess the fluoride in water is in the form of calcium fluoride (a salt), not a gas as I had thought.
