Also, Saudi Arabia and Israel want to run their natural gas and oil pipelines through Syria, and Assad is friendly with Hezbollah and Iran.

I dont think so.

I believe Israelis have a joke in their country along the lines of that God gave them the only country in the middle east that doesn't have oil.
