Last night I couldn't sleep. Among other things I was thinking about how fucked up it was that puttitout just shut everything down with a 3 days notice (yeah I know, priorities). Could've at least handed the domain to someone. Then I had a flash back to the "washington red skin go fuck yourself" South Park special. Technically we could just steal the IP ? Should I continue this?

Those subdomains are still up. The thumbnails we see come from cdn.voat.co. If you view SVF in light mode, you can see that Voat's earlier logo had black outline. Now I am wondering if someone had collected Voat's logos over the years.

I joined in 2016 but for the life of me I don't remember that bold logo. The voat source code is out there on github, some interesting tidbits in there. Too bad the source can't really be put to use (at least without the know-how on how to set it up ), because I love using c#, I've just never used it in a web environment.

I think the cdn.voat.co subdomain serves images. If that service is shutdown, thumbnails on @SearchVoat's search results will disappear, unless SV already saved a local copy.
